Hello Sathya,

There is a difference in temperature of oven and tandoor. Oven takes more time in cooking the chicken than tandoor. It’s because oven has a temperature range of 230–260 °C (450–500 °F), whereas tandoor can approach 480 °C (900 °F), hence the heat for a tandoor, generated by a charcoal or wood fire, burning within the tandoor itself, remains lit for long periods to maintain the high cooking temperature and chicken can be cooked very fast in tandoor.

Because tandoor usually archive 500c to 550c temperature. It is impossible to achieve this kind of temperature in electric / gas oven.
